Trueskin provides botox injections and other cosmetic procudures at our office in Sandy, Utah. Our botox injections are performed by an MD that is a board certified dermatologist. We've outlined the basics of botox below, and if you any questions please give us a call.

What is Botox?

Botox is a purified protein that has been used therapeutically for over 16 years to treat a variety of medical conditions. Botox is administered in a simple non-surgical cosmetic procedure that temporarily paralyzes the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles to appear. Lines on the forehead, in the "crow's feet" area near the outer eyelids, and lines between the eyebrows are erased and softened, causing the facial areas to appear younger, relaxed and more youthful. The entire procedure takes about ten (10) minutes and there is no downtime afterward. The discomfort is minimal and brief, with no anesthesia required. Some patients may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injection.

What kind of results can I expect?

TrueSkin patients report seeing results within days of the treatment, and some continue to notice improvement for up to a week. While individual results may vary, many patients see results that last up to four (4) months before coming back for a follow-up treatment.

Who can administer Botox injections?

Rules on who can administer botox injections vary from state to state. In some states, registered nurses (RNs) or physician's assistants (PAs) may administer the injections under the guidance and supervision of a physician. At TrueSkin, botox injections are preformed by Dr. Harrison.
